Please remember to support our striking brothers and sister at Walmart. Please find a way to support them! Walk picket, bring cookies or coffee. Tell them we are all with them. Please understand ultimately this action will be for all American workers as we struggle with the necessity of raising the abomination of our nation’s inequality by acting against those corporate giants who exacerbate that inequality and widen that chasm between the rich and the rest of us.
Think about those global corporate giants in your own industry that undercut union wages, benefits and standards. Think about what you can do to begin to hold them accountable for the poverty they create and the inequality they exacerbate. Think about how you could talk to the workers at these corporate behemoths about how they can stand together, how they can bargain powerfully if they are united, how they can reach out to one another and ORGANIZE!
Today we are grateful to the striking Walmart workers for taking a stand for their own dignity and the dignity of all, for their own families and the families of all, for a fairer share of the wealth that we create.
