The American People Demand No Cuts to Social. Security, Medicare, and Medicaid!

The movement we’ve been talking about is building, and Democrats better be listening. We are flooding Capitol phone lines with calls to demand that the Congress and the President protect Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

And many of you reading this are responsible for this building movement!

We are also demanding that the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy be allowed to expire, but we have to save tax cuts for the Middle Class and critical programs for our seniors and disabled people.

PLEASE CALL AGAIN TODAY: 202-224-3121 to demand that the lives and health of our seniors and disabled are so much more important than the ridiculous and completely unnecessary tax cuts for income over $250,000 enacted by George Bush.

This fight over the “fiscal cliff” is the first battle in our fight to reduce income and wealth inequality in America. For way too long, Rightwing Radical Republicans and Astro-Turf (fake) Teabaggers have been carrying the water for and doing the dirty work of the unbelievably rich while impoverishing more and more average, hard-working Americans.

How can the wealthy complain about our government and our workers? We built the roads and bridges their trucks drive on. We staff air traffic control towers. We maintain and build the power stations and power lines. We maintain the sewer lines. We protect their lives and property.

We, you and I and others like us, make this country work.

It is way past time the rich and wealthy step up and do their damn share.
