Romney Jobs Plan
I just saw a headline which says the Romney jobs plan depends on his tax plan. The President has been saying that, but I don’t think the full implications have broken through.
This is total and complete trickle down theory, which as the President says, has not produced positive results for the middle class in 30 years.
We are living the results of current empirical evidence. American businesses and corporations are sitting on a record amount of cash, several trillion dollars, and refusing to invest in jobs and in America.
And they have two demands which Romney is willing to cave in to:
1) Kill the Affordable Care Act to the detriment of 40 million Americans.
2) Cut way back on regulation (we don’t know how far back), including worker health and safety, food safety, WALL ST. REGS, and others.
In effect, the business and corporate community is colluding to hold the nation and our people hostage to their policy desires and political wishes.
We know and have known for 30 years that trickle down doesn’t work. I can’t ever remember the employer class acting with such discipline and collusion to hold America hostage against the interests of our people.
This is extremely dangerous territory. It is an infringement on democracy and self government.
The stakes in this election are as high as they’ve been since the Great Depression.
