Obama Gains in Polls and Fundraising after Conventions
President Obama had a significant bounce coming out of the two conventions. He outraised Romney by $4 million in August, even though Romney had outraised the President in the three previous months.
President Obama went up six points among registered voters who plan to vote for him, beginning to win over swing voters. Romney went down.
The polling and money raised verify that the Democrats had a great convention and the Republican National Convention was best represented by Clint Eastwood’s rambling, unscripted, demented make-believe conversation.
This election will come down to a handful of folks who can’t make up their minds and the level of enthusiasm of the two sides.
