Love

Written by Stewart Acuff

Sometimes I think
She must think I’m crazy
Burning up all this ink
Just to tell her over and over
How much I love her
I admit, I think the same of me
Seems to me, though, poetry
Is all that deep in your soul and heart
That has to get out
Turn into the closest thing I can get to art
So I write
And I won’t fight
To close off my soul and heart.
