Las Vegas anti-union casino owner Sheldon Adelson, the man who bankrolled Newt Gingrich’s pathetic combination book tour and presidential campaign, is at it again. Adelson has pledged to spend at least $100 million to defeat President Obama. Sounds like a lot of money, huh? Also sounds weird. People don’t get rich giving away money. Turns out that if Romney were to win, all Adelson’s tax breaks would add up to $4 billion. That’s not a contribution. That is an investment – or a ripoff of the American Treasury and the American People.
On another matter, Romney’s salivating over war with Iran, new polling says 70 percent of the American people believe the debacle in Iraq should make our nation less willing to go to war.
