I walked to the coffee shop this perfect

Morning, sun as brilliant as nothing else

In our world, sky as brilliant as the sun.

In this day that is a blessing from God

I prayed for you and thanked God

For you.

I thought of you and talked to you and felt

Grateful for you.

Our love transcends those miles and oceans

And independent agendas and dreams.

Our love is real and forever and powerful,

Unknowable.

I want for you as much as ever as

Corporeal as ever.

But my love is greater than my desire.
